I guess it could have been easy for me to follow my mother’s path and give myself to the care of plants and others, but my calling was a different one. I wanted to defend what it had given so much happiness and peace to my mother, and that was this city. Here we had everything we couldn’t have in the outer citadels. Now this was our place in the world. A paradise made of metal, cold and perfect.
